John Wesley Hardin had a few tricks to fool his adversary. The drawings show the most famous gun trick and how to perform it with some ease:
1) When you are "giving up" your guns from you holster(s) or while holding them, (1.a), you must be sure that your fingers are still in the trigger guard area.
2) As soon as your opponent seems relaxed or has lowered his gun, drop your pistol(s) while controlling the drop and keeping your finger in the trigger area.
3) Continuing this drop in one movement, twirl the pistol back towards you bringing the butt to your hand and cocking the hammer.
4) Now shoot the person in front of you.
(The last three steps must be performed in one complete movement and with as much speed as possible so as to get the drop on your opponent.)
